I have my DT card for
Magnolia Down Under

This weeks challenge #129 is..
BLACK & WHITE IMAGE

Now when I think of black and white images I remember all of the old photos that I have of my ancestors that I have pulled out of old trunks from the basement and the attic. These photos that I have are not a true black and white but a brownish and cream in color. So I have done my image in the brown tones to make my card look as if it was pulled out of an old trunk of long ago days gone by.

papers: Basic Grey, Graphic 45 and Bazzill cardstocks.

embellies: leather lace cord, staples, pearls, acrylic leaves, paper flowers, TH metals bookplate, TH metal snaps, TH ticket, ribbon from a very special friend (Leslie). THANKS! Flowers cut with fabrics.

Techniques and tools: TH flower die Alterations, TH distressed inks, sewing machine for layers.

#3010 TILDA WITH DAISY or #225 MINI TILDA WITH DAISY has been colored with my copic markers.
Stamps can be bought at Magnolia-licious!

Hi Janny! I love the way you set this card up! The pearls and antique book are wonderful! Your coloring is impeccable! Love how you used so many design elements to give this card an old world charm. This card is gorgeous! We all struggle (most of the time) to create a superb card, and I think most of us settle for "job well done". Your struggle to pull this card together is not at all evident! Your work is fabulous! Hugs...Barb

So very pretty Janiel - you do it all so well. Your design work is always amazing as is your coloring. Boy Barb sure is wordy - I can never think of all those words to say. I guess that's why I am not writing a book. Great staging!!

My first thought was it isn't black or white like traditionally you see, then I read your post and yes it makes sense.. Your card is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly done like the old time photos. You have such talent, you amaze me, I am trying to learn from your artistic talents. Love this card.
