A Simple Card Today...........

Hello everyone.....

I have a very not so clean but simple card to share with you today!

I would have said clean and simple but I inked and sanded all of the edges and it DOES NOT look so clean! LOL.

Simple cards just don't work so well for me. But this is what I came up with.

I have used: Creative Genius, Michele
from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Gallery.

 I have colored my image with my copic markers. 

I have used Misc. papers from my scrap bag.

Not much for embellies: ribbon, pearls, trim and a couple of paper flowers.

I have used the sketch from CARD PATTERNS today.

They always have beautiful nice simple sketches.

Today my DT sista Lynda and I are posting together today with this very sweet

NEW JANUARY ELISABETH BELL Digi image.

from the Elisabeth Bell Digi Collection...

I have made a 5 x 6 1/2 book board brag book or scrapbook. It has 10 pages on the inside. It is held together with metal rings and it has extra strong eyelets in the book board to hold the rings.

I have made this project a tad bit shabby and a lot chic!! 

I have sanded all of the edges with my file to make it look just a tad old and worn then added Tim Holtz Distress Ink on all edges.

I have colored my image with my copic markers. 

Papers: LilyBee Design MME 6x6 paper pads and can be bought at LOVE TO STAMP for clearance prices. I have also used Bazzill cardstock.

 Embellies: trim, ribbons, string pearls, pearls, cheese cloth, purple netting cloth, paper flowers, large silk flower by Petaloo. I have used Tattered Angels glimmer mist (Bazzill Piglet) to color my flower to match the ones in the image. I have painted the beads in the center with black paint and added stickles to make it sparkle.

Tools: I have used my MS butterfly punch, Quickkuts heart punch and my Magnolia Swirl punch.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Happy Monday Everyone!!
Boy oh boy I can't believe that summer is just breezin' by!! This month will be gone in the blink of an eye. I hope that you have had a full filled fun summer so far. We didn't take a vacation or anything this summer. Sad but true. To much illness in our family this year. SO maybe we can take 2 next year.. LOL.......School in our area starts tomorrow!! So summer is over for our children. We are still having over 100 degree days. And that is just to hot to go to school.

I really went to digging in one of my stamp drawers to find this little cute stamp!

It is an oldies but a goody! I did get this one at WOJ but I do NOT see it on the site right now. I am not sure what stamp the sentiment is. But I am thinking that it is a CC Designs.

I just love the saying. It goes so perfect with that little cutie stirring up his batch of cookie dough!!
I have colored my image with my copic markers and added stickles to the fur of his hat and to the cute little green mittens.

Papers today are all from my little scrap bag. So not really sure just what they are.

Now I thought to myself.... It would be fun to bake some cookies to go with this card during the holidays.

Today I have a very fun Birthday card to show you.

I have used Sweet Sundae and she can be bought at Elisabeth's Digital Gallery

I have used my copic markers to color my sweet image. All layers have been inked and sewn.

The fun part of this card is I used ALL SCRAPS from my scrap bag.. I LOVE IT when that happens. LOL..
I little circle stamp is by Stampin' Up.
Now for the embellies. I have used paper flowers ribbons, pearls and hand cut 2 cute little balloons and tied string on them. I also have used the shell edgge punch by Martha Stewart.

I have used the sketch from Crafts 4 Eternity and a fun one at that.

I have colored her with my copic markers and added white dots on her apron with my acrylic paints.

I have used my Ranger distressed ink "Antique Linen" on all of the paper edges and I have used my sanding block to give the edges of that album a tab bit of a worn look.

The next three photos are of some 6x6 recipe cards that did make over a year ago. I will be putting these in this album so I thought that I would re-share them with you.

Boy, now I tell you ..it's funny when you get out things that you did over a year ago and you look at it and see just how much you have grown!! My coloring that taken a different turn since then!! LOL.. In the photos below I have used watercolor pencils to color the images.
