JOY wooden blocks project

Hello everyone...........
It's Wednesday again already and I have my Design Team creation for Creative Inspirations Challenge. This week the challenge is DECORATE YOUR HOME. I did have a lot of fun with this one. I went out in the third garage where I have my wood shop at and I took a 2 x 4 and cut in into different lengths to make these cute little blocks. I painted the blocks with acrylic paint to start with and added papers. Then I sanded them to give them a worn look added a bit to distressed ink and sanded again on the edges. I have used 3 of the cutest little SUGAR NELLIE stamps that I have colored with my copic markers and watercolor pencils. I used my cricut to cut out the letters J and Y and of course the O is the cute little wreath that the cute little girl is holding. Please scroll down to see close up photos of fun details that I have added to each block.

This is the block for J as you can see it has a cluster with prima flowers, gingerbread and silver heart. Black dotted ribbon has been wrapped around the block and big bow added to the top.
If you look down in the left corner you can see that I have added spacers with tiny green pearls.

Now isn't this one just cute!!!
I have taken a wooden knob and painted it with acrylic paints sanded it and added it to the top of this block. I have added ribbons and star stick pin and candy cane charm, four sparkle domes in the corners.

I think that this one is my favorite. I love this cute little image with her sitting on her Christmas present. I have added prima flowers, silver star, gingerbread, a few pearls and ribbon to the front of the block. On the top I have made a cluster of prima roses.

If you looked close at then you noticed that all of the little images had tiny little pearls added to them.
All Sugar Nellie Stamps can be bought at Funky Kits.
Thank you for stopping by to visit my little blog today. I hope you have enjoyed your visit.
I sure enjoy you stopping by and leaving me your commets.
Have a wonderful week and I hope that you are almost ready for the big holiday.
I still have shopping to do and all of the baking to get done. But I will get it done I always do just in the nick of time.
I hope you will stop by tomorrow to see the very cute card I have to show you.
big hugs, Janiel
