BABY GIFT BOXES

Well it's April already!!
I swear that the time just flies by!!!
Today I have my projects for the

Our fabulous hostess this month is Ruby Montes and she has challenged us all to create

Baby Projects and/or Baby Gift Sets

Since the newest collection Princes & Princesses is filled with super-cute baby images the DT has used all of the NEW Collection for our project. You will want to drop over to the Challenge blog and see what everyone has done. Lots of inspiration!! I also hope you will find time to join us with our challenge this month!!

I decided to make little gift boxes for baby presents...
Here are my finished projects

I have made what is called pizza boxes. I have just made big ones instead of the sizes that you would find in most of the tutorials. My boxes both measure 9.5 x 6 by 2 deep. They are plenty big to put an outfit or a blanket in. I have made them out of poster board as 12 x 12 cardstock was not big enough for the size I wanted to make. tee hee hee They are also very sturdy made out of the poster board!!

This little sweetie is Baby Edwin. He is available at Magnolia-licious and is offered at a 10% discount right now! How cool is that? I colored him up with Copic markers and added stickles on the crown and the stars.. The papers that I have used are: Lost & Found, MME, Paper Pizazz, Daisy D's and Bazzill Cardstocks. Embellies used are: Queen & Co. pearls, We R Memory Keepers distressed resin words, rattle button, Paper Studio butterflies and I have hand drawn and cut the 3 stars, ribbon and lacing. I have popped some of the layers to give my little gift box a 3-d look. Tools used: I have sewing some of the layers and used my Spellbinders Round for around the image.

Then next up is my girl gift box...

Here is my girl themed gift box with Baby Tilda. She is available at Magnolia-licious and is offered at a 10% discount right now also! I have colored her with my copic markers and added stickles to her crown. Now look at the cute little Dragon paper that can be bought from Magnolia-licious. It is in the Princes and Princess Paper Pack. I have also used Bo Bunny and Melissa Frances and Bazzill cardstocks. Embellies used are: buttons, Queen & Co. pearls, paper flowers by Kaisercraft and Prima, ribbons, bakers thread, acrylic word and letters. The image is popped up on a big round button type thingy with ribbon pleated around it. Tools used: Flourish by Cheery Lynn, Sewing machine for some of the layers, and one of my favorite dies by Magnolia called Edwins Lace available at Magnolia-licious.

Challenges to enter my projects:
Simply Magnolia Challenge: Dies/Punches/Ribbon
iCopic Challenge - For a Child
Creative Mondays -Anything but Card
Cheerful Stamp Pad - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Dots and Stripes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Stamp with Fun - No Easter cards

YES!! I used my Scor-pal to make my boxes!!

Please remember that mine are not to scale with the turtorial. I have made mine much bigger. (9.5 x 6 by 2)

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY TODAY!!!I would love to hear what you think of my little gift boxes.
Have I inspired you to join us this month???

What a great idea to use poster board for your ADORABLE pizza boxes! The only thing missing is the scoring measurements for the larger size box for those of us that are numbers illiterate!
