I have my Magnolia Down Under card to show you.
The challenge this week is....
MAKE YOUR OWN EMBELLISHMENTS..
now just how fun is that??
I have used some of my favorite colors to work with and I have tried to make my card just a tad vintage today.I love this new little #3062 Tilda with Amaryllis.
Such a sweetie!
She can be purchased at Magnolia-Licious.
Along with her I have used a round stamp by CatsLife Press.
For my handmade embellies I have made what I call ribbon/tulle flowers. I have taken 1 inch ribbon and a needle and thread and gathered one side of it and tied it off to make a circle. Then I have used my EK SUCCESSS med retro flower punch and punched flowers and added bottons. Now I think they are cute!!! I have also taken my acrylic paint and made dots and stripe on the buttons to give them just a bit more pop. I did this same thing with a bit of tulle for the flower on the top right but when I tied it off I cut the edge of the tulle. I have added a few paper butterflies by Prima and some Prima perals along with a few gold leaves.
The papers that I have used are: Bo Bunny, Melissa Frances, Anna Griffin and Bazzill cardstocks.
I have also used some beautiful trims and if you just happen to look close you will see that I have distressed all of the paper edges with Ranger inks and used my files to rough them up in a spot or two. Along the top edge and right side you will see that I have added some beautiful dark brown trim. Doesn't show in the pictures very well. My #3062 Tilda with Amaryllis has been colored with my copic markers. OH and one last thing that I did was give the card a little spry of Carmel Apple Glimmer Mist.
